Petaluma Housing has a new trendWith more homes to sell than last year, the Petaluma Housing Market is finally seeing a new trend!

Petaluma Housing Now vs. Then:

Today it appears that we have the same amount of closed sales for the first 6 weeks of the year as we did last year.  Petaluma housing trailed last year behind 2015 in closings for the entire year.  It looks as though we are going to be ahead in new listings as well.  This is a welcome change!

New listings increased by 28% from December 2016 to January and pending sales went up an amazing 63%!  Even the Median price increased from $640,000 in January 2017 compared to $578,000 in January 2016.

Penngrove and Petaluma Housing Today:

It’s not a bad start to 2017 when YTD 51 single family homes, condos and 1 farm closed escrow in Petaluma.  With 1 closing in Penngrove, we start off the year at an average sales price of $1,050,000.  Petaluma’s average sale price is $643,000 with an average of $401 per square foot.
